The S-2000 Grading System
The S-2000 is a unique road grading system that uses rotating, replaceable carbide tips for a cutting edge that can maintain a variety of road surfaces. Each individual tungsten carbide-tipped tool is installed by the operator into the heat-treated adapter board that allows for better wear resistance and improved cutting capacity compared to conventional steel grader blades. This improved efficiency over conventional blades lowers grading costs and equipment costs with a blade life equal to 5-15 conventional blades.
The S-2000 scarifier board system is designed for motor graders but can also be mounted to an underbody blade on a truck or rear blade on a tractor for increased operator flexibility.
The unique board angle that is mounted 20 degrees back from vertical creates an optimal mixing action for producing a blended material which reduced the need to add new gravel to the surface. This also improves the road surface by cutting instead of scraping for a better mix of materials.
Valve-Seat Carbide Tips
These tips provide excellent penetration, and the large carbide shoulder gives excellent protection against steel wash. Valve-Seat carbide tips have a valve-seat braze joint for increased strength and shear resistance. These tips are best suited for use in soft to medium materials or conditions.
