Ag equipment farm machinery parts

What are Ag Equipment Parts?

There are four main types of agricultural equipment:

  1. Cultivation Equipment: These machines include plows, harrows, and cultivators. They help to prepare the ground for planting by loosening and turning up the soil.
  2. Tillage Equipment: These machines till the soil by cutting it into smaller pieces to break apart clumps and bring them closer together for a more refined surface. This is typically done after cultivation has been completed.
  3. Harvesting Equipment: These machines harvest crops from fields or from irrigated land that has been drained for this purpose. They can also be used with non-agricultural applications, such as harvesting grass in a golf course fairway before it’s mowed down with a riding mower.
  4. Planting Equipment: These machines prepare the soil for planting, measure and distribute seeds, and firm the ground after seeding.

Each of these types of equipment will eventually need to have a part replaced. Due to the strenuous nature of agriculture, different parts and aspects of a machine can wear down over time.

Replacement Parts for Tractors

Tractors are considered to be power tillers and can often handle a variety of different tasks. Tractor replacement parts can come in many shapes and sizes and cover a wide range of functions. DMC Wear Parts boasts an extensive collection of aftermarket tractor parts, including various belts, axles, engine and hydraulic components, and more.

Replacement Parts for Combines

Combines are used in post-harvest agricultural operations, including harvesting, threshing, and winnowing. Furthermore, a combine harvester is a machine that combines these functions in one pass across the field. This machine’s large metal teeth come down to cut the grain at the base of the plant, which is then shaken up in front of a fan. This fan blows away straw and chaff, after which the grains fall into a set of rotating cylinders, called an auger. The augers sweep up the grain and create enough centrifugal force to come out one end, where a conveyor belt collects it. From there, it can be put into storage or taken to another place to be processed further.

With all of these processes happening simultaneously, it’s easy to see that replacement parts for your combine will be needed eventually! We are happy to assist you with any combine replacement part questions that you may have.

Excavator and Skid Steer Parts

Excavators are typically used to dig up dirt, move things out of the way, or clear away rocks so that new construction or planting can occur. They may also be used to level off ground surfaces or remove tree stumps.

Skid steer loaders can often do a lot of heavy lifting and the usual digging and loading that a front-end loader does.

As equipment part experts, DMC Wear Parts has an extensive inventory of aftermarket replacement parts for dozers, excavators, and skid steer undercarriages. Whether it’s your excavator undercarriage, equipment tracks, or any other part that may need replacing, DMC Wear Parts has you covered!

Why Buy Aftermarket Ag Parts vs. OEM?

Aftermarket parts for your ag equipment can provide added value compared to their OEM counterparts. There are many reasons why people purchase aftermarket agricultural equipment parts, but one of the most common reasons is because they are priced lower than original manufacturer (OEM) parts. Despite the cheaper price tag, aftermarket parts can often outperform OEM replacements!
